A) My connection In my group I had a lot of contributions. In the beginning of the pre-production Matt and I were editing his treatment and trying to come up with a good plot about what was going on and how we should shoot the movie. Matt and I decided what will be the best shot to convey the emotion in the story and the best way to tell what is happening. Also I create the prop and production schedule.
Through this shot I used a worm’s eye view of Matt to show how he was powerful and at the same time scared. For each other shot that I did in the movie I tried to find the best angle and the one that convey the most emotion through the scene. Through this shot the angle was able to portray how the emotion in the scene was rolling. Also I helped with some of the sound production.
Through this me and Matt worked together to produce the best sound quality that we were trying to produce and make the best audio for each scene as we watch it go through. Also I helped Rami with a little of the editing where I felt that some of the scene needed to be cut and how some scenes should be put together.
Through the edit we put together we saw that the shots played out really well and saw how it was playing well through out the shots.
B) Reflection of movie as a whole The movie as a whole was really good. The casting for the movie was very good because all the actors knew what they were doing and how they were suppose to act for that specific scene. The actors were able to play their role in a believable fashion and people knew what was going on. I feel that the actors were able to give a distinct feeling to the characters.
For example like Matt was able to make a believable impression of a man who was talking to his father’s will writer and talk about what was happening. And Dan was able to show a good contrast of Matt’s character that was good while Dan portrayed the evil brother really well. The characters were not very strong on involving the audience but we were able to involve the audience a little bit. However the gestures that our actors produce can be seen as real.
Our dialogue was good however the person saying it showed have been the will writer saying certain parts of Matt’s line and Matt does the same for my lines. The energy from my scene and Matt’s scene are really well portrayed because we were serious and we took the time to practice and get into characters when we were starting the process. As for the Acting it was great because everyone knew what they were doing and how they were suppose to do the scene so it was very well ran and shown in the movie and it made the movie look better. The people were able to understand and stick to the script really well.
Also the script in the movie worked really well because the lines in the script was consisted exactly like what the characters were going to say so that the actors when they were doing their roles they knew every line because they already new the script and the way it is going to play out really well. The script is working very well because it so play the story out. The script was show in the right way with showing it saying it when we can show it and we showed it pretty well in the video and were able to make it look good with the words. Also the script was much interconnected to the film and it made a lot of sense when they were put together.
The wardrobe was very interconnect because we could see what was going on because of the clothing helped move the story because it showed what was happening. The wardrobe made sense to the movie because it showed that people were doing business and there were discussing something that was very business like and portrayed the mood of the scene and very well shown what was going on. Also the wardrobe was the best for the scene because it was also very dark and ominous which allow it to show thing that was different from the people and show what was going on and the different sides. The music however was the same and did help move the movie. The music is good because it works for the shots because when it is playing through them movie the sound will play and it sounded very well. The music was also very well used because the music helped also portray the emotion in each scene and build tension on certain scenes and in other scenes create suspense through the whole scene and make a great match for that scene. Also the props were used very well.
The props were used very well however some of the thing and props were confusing when we used them like the blood on the paper and the whole scene after Austin grabbed the case. Also the case was not very good of a prop because it look really bad. The lighting was very appropriate because of the way the lighting is used and because a lot of the shots were dark and used very well because it made the movie look very cinematic. Also the angles of where the lights are situated were really well used to because it created fast fall off on the person and it showed a very cinematic look at the shots. Also the lights help make a person seem important while in other lights made the person seem less important. The title and credits were good because it gave acknowledgement to all of the people who contributed to the movie. The title was also very legible and was able to tell who was in the movie and who did what part. The title was not very dark and ominous however but very plain and simple. The title and credits does not interfere with or give anything away that was very important. Also the title and credits were on the screen long enough for the people to see each person who contributed to the movie. The framing of the shots were also very good because it showed a lot of the emotion in the shots and showed the people the shots that helped move the story as it unfolded because the shots are showing what is expressed in the movie and in the exact shot. A lot of the camera shots do not draw attention to themselves but they make a really good shot for the movie and move the movie along with the emotion of the shots. The camera were at a constant of different angles that make the movie seem more dark and allowed the emotion to seep into the characters at the same time allowing the audience to understand what was going on. Also a lot of the shots were smooth and they were not bad shots at all and they were pretty good shots that does not draw attention away from any part of the movie. The sound was used very well ad it showed up really well to. Because we can here what is going on in the story and how the actors feel through the story by what they say. The sound was much distorted in some shots.
The sound here was very small because the wind picked up and was very distracting so we were not able to hear the music and what happen in the dialogue. However the movie sound effects were really good because they were very clear and concise and they sound very realistic like the neck snapping. The editing was done really well because we can see the movie flow well and seem very realistic because there is not anything that look very bad like a jump cut but very slowly playing through and look very well developed. With in the editing there were very little scene by scene jumps so there was shot that showed scene by scene continuity. The only problem was that the shots were not what the audience expected at some of the shots because it turn from what the audience is going to expect is going to happen to another shots that was on the other side of what the audience expected. The story it self was really good and it really connected to the idea of Film Noir because it showed a lot of the aspect that people see in film noir and the movie was right on target. The movie also told the story very well because the audience understood that an evil brother was going for a family fortune and they understood what was happening in the story. In the ideology of the movie is that we can see the difference between the good and bad guys. The good guy is Matt who protects the whole family ideas while Dan plays the evil person who wants the family interest for his own ideas. The actors were able t portray the ideas of the characters really well because of the way they react the ideas and people that shape them. The cinematic style that made the movie had some of the ideology of film noir seeping through and being shown in the movie because of the use of lighting and shots shows the dark aspect of the movie. The protagonist is a spokes person of the idea of the director’s film but not a spoke person of the director himself. Because the actor was able to show through the story not the movies directors feeling but the directors interpretation of the movie’s story. The films tone is dark and it reinforce the story of the movie and the values of the characters because it shows what the characters in the movie values and how they need these values to shape their lives. C) Movie connection to film Noir The movie connects to the genera of film noir.
The shots here are a good use of shadows. And shows the way that film noir uses shadows to portray violent scene while still staying within the realms of law.
Another way that the movie connects to the film noir is the idea of the darks taking over because most of the movie is shot at night so people will think that it is the time of crime just like in the film noir movies. Also the movies are very shady and dark so it connects to the genera because it shows the idea of film noir.
The lighting here is a good connection to film noir because it shows the dark side and the darkness as well as the shiftiness of the characters. The lighting also creates a sense of crime in control and telling people what is happening and the dark side running amok and dark aspect is taking over.
The movie also connects to film noir because the movie shows death like in film noir because in the dark movies they also have a lot of death and the death is a symbol of the way the dark side of humanity is taking over.
The chase is another way that connects to film noir because there is a lot of people you follow to get information and to figure out what I happening. This film connects to a lot of aspects of the film noir genera because the film portray the dark side of humanity and how it can cause people to do things and how humans an that side is always going in deeper and causing more trouble. Me overall used a lot of the ideas of film noir and connected it to our short film pretty well.
1. How does the film start at a dramatic moment in the middle of the drama? THe film starts at a very dramatic and mysterious part after the Main character Matt comes back from the bathroom and find his partner died and the case gone misiing.
2. What terrific scene will open, and what memorable scene will end the film? In the beginning of the flim it is showing a mysterious converstation over a will and in the end it shows what happen and the killing of the Main character.
3. What’s my character’s attitude and position in the events? In the case of blood the attitude of the main character is one of wonderment and mysterious becasue the main character is like a private eye who is tying to fin out what is going on and through this he unravels a plot that his brother set up for him that evetually leads to his death.
4. How do I introduce my character? If my character isn’t central to the action, what do they witness that is? In our treatment the character is in the central to the action because the character starts off talking about a will that his father left behind with the business partner and through the conversation we are eluded to another main character who is Matt's brother. Through the conversation we can see that the brother is a kind of person who will do anoything to get what he wants like.
5. How can I help the audience discover what is happening, rather than just telling them everything? Through some of our dialouge and body actions the characters are slowly revealing the plot that the brother had set up of rhte main character which draws the main character deeper and deeper into the brothers trap which will eventually kill him off.
6. How can I reduce things to a minimum, but still have an impact? a way that we can cut down the script is by having Matt see open window instead of just finding a door ajar then seeing the open window to eventually seeing his dead partner on the gound below. Other then the window sequence I can not see how we can cut down the script anymore then we already have becasue a lot of the shots are shots that we need to estabilsh some of the things that are going on in the movie.
Logline: A group of students is killed by a films teacher assistant.
Int. Mr. Bigue's class room The was caution tape over a class room door. Just then a someone walks into the room. Detective Jonas says to a near by cop, "Douglass what happened here." When they walk it the T.A. tell him to to look closely at the screen so that he does not miss any information. Just then he see through the window the last student is coming back he get in position. Just as the student is walks in and see no one around BAM cames the tripod down on his head. at that moment the T.A. looses himself in the moent and continues to smash the kids head with the tripod.

1) I felt for my presentation me and my partners need to to develop our research question and need to be more consice about what our question was going to be. But I feel that our defenition was very good and we were able to express fragility and what it meant. Also our example was able to well support our presentations but we did not use it to well to explain what the scene was about and how it connected to fragility. We did a very good explanation about how fragility connected to film noir and who fragility was shown. We did use a lot of filmic and filmic ideas.
2) The presentation had quite a few slides that had to much writing on it and some of them also had to much pictures going on in the slides but over all the presentation slides came ut well. I feel that our understanding of film noir is adquent and and we were able to express how film noir is used in china town.
Narration. MR. Gittis is telling the story through a investigation and he is following clue after clue to see what is happing and the mystery that is unfolding as he searches. The narrator is Mr. Gitis and he is the one showing the twist and turns of each of the mystery as they show up and see the changes until it eventually leads to the end. THe spectator supply suppence to the story becasue they feel like they are in the story and they are trying to figure out how the mystery and the little plots twist and the way that the woemn like Mrs. Mulwray uses betrayal and control to try and get Gittis to believe her. THe information that the audience provide is that is the way we have to fill in the gaps to some of the sceens when the the death of Mr. Mulwray and the reason he was killed and who killed him up until the director told us. THe time is chronological becasue everything isshown as he death to the every end a mysteery and the investigator is showing use the way the mystery is playing out for him to. THe gerne of this film is film noir because ther is aspect of film noir in it like the death of Mr. Mulwray and the reason that the people will kill him also along with MRs.Mulwary with power and control in her hands. THere was a lot of raicial tensions and there was a lot of troubles that surround the people in Chinatown because of the violence that took place there. What does the narrative embody mythical concepts or universal human traits?
One research topic that I would like to look at can be Sci-fi and how different director's nationalities and background can change their perceptive of the way that the make sci-fi movies and what morals they are trying to protray through there Sci-fi films. An example is like the director of the American movie District 9 who originated from South Africa. The background greatly affects the director because, "Writer-director Neill Blomkamp grew up in Johannesburg during an era of white minority rule; later, memories of the apartheid government's social divisiveness and authoritarian control became "the most powerful influence" in shaping his creative vision." The way that the background shaped the director made him question the racial tension and the barrier in the movies that he created and how the rule and consequences of living during the apartheid made him show this tension and barriers in the movie District nine 9. So a way that childhoods and background affect the directors can also very subtal or very clear depending on how the direcotrs uses it. Another was the Korean film call the host. The director in the film was showing certain aspects and dangers that humans can get their handon like radioactive waste and how it affects the environment around them and the way it can alter things so that they become more dangerous. This is a affect of the nuclear weapons that we have now and a way that the weapons that we have can alter the environment as will as hurt us.
Logline: A family moves into a cabin in Lake Tahoe and their son get a flesh eating virus.
Treatment: A family is going up to Lake Tahoe and rents a cabin for about a week. The family then drives from the ski resort to their cabin. When the family gets to the cabin they see it very secluded and old.
When the family goes in to the cabin they find it very dirty and unfurnished. They scout all the surroundings and see how it is and where the rooms are. Later the father tells the son to help him unload the car with their things while the mother and daughter relax in the cabin.
When the son and the father leave the mother and daughter went to explore the cabin a little more when they here out of the blue a scream of pain. They rush to the living room of the cabin in time to see the father burst through the door with the son in his hands. On the sons arms is a large gash.
The mother asked what the heck happened. The father says, “While Ross was unloading some of the ski equipments one of the ski poles fell out and cut his arm bad. We showed clean out the wound the best we can and then bandage it up.” The mother agrees and quickly gets out the first aid kit and cleans up the wound as best as she could. Then she and the father bandage up Ross’s arm.
After they bandage up his arm they helped him to a bed and told him to sleep they will get the rest of the gear themselves. After Ross goes to bed the mother and father goes out with flashlights and carefully took everything out of the car and carried it inside. After they finish getting everything inside the cabin the mother, father, and the daughter went to sleep.
However the next day the mother was in the kitchen when the father came walking in followed by the daughter. 5 minutes later Ross comes in complaining that his arm hurts. The mother ask him if he was feeling well because he look like he had a fever at the same time his arm looked really red. She told him to take a Motrin IB and go to bed.
An hour later the mother came into the room to check on Ross when he was sleeping. She had the first aid kit so she can change the bandage that cover Ross’s wound. However when she peeled the wound looked very red and it started give off a foal odor.
The mother quickly changes the bandage and leaves. However she tells the father what happened. The father said if it gets worse in another 2 day we should call the doctor. The next day went by the same as the day before however the wound on Ross’s arm started to turn blue and have a lot of boil like blisters. She quickly changes the bandage and walked out. The next day the wound got even worse they called a doctor the doctor asked the symptoms and then prescribe medications and call him or go to the ER if it got worse. The mother and father then went and got the medication for Ross and when they got home they gave him the medication. An hour later they went to check up on him and they saw that they wound have gotten even worse and out of fear they took him to the ER.
When they got to the ER the nurses wheeled Ross into a room the doctor then came in the check on Ross and the wound. When the doctor saw Ross’s arm he ask how long ago did he get this wound. The Father said that my son got the wound 4 days ago. The doctor said that I am sorry to tell you this but you son has the virus or bacteria Necrotizing Fascitis which is a flesh eating virus.
The only way that we can treat your son at this stage is to cut off his arm to stop the bacteria from spreading to the rest of the body because is it spreads to the rest of the body your son will die. So the doctor wheeled Ross into the surgery room and amputated his arm. After they amputated his arm Ross got better and today he now lives a happy life in Beverly Hills with his wife and two sons and became a very famous artist.

The person replies it is me and walks out of the darkness and to Travis’s surprise there stood Jennifer.
The genre of the movie was a romance, drama, and crime. The genre can be determine by the way that they shoot the movie. They use the crime and poverty a lot in the movie that shows the genre convention. Like the shot of the way the slums were situated or the gangster that run amok or and also they are showing prostitution and the racial barrier of the religions.
The theme of this movie is that education is a important things and that it is trying to show you how hard life in India is like. Danny Boyle directed slumdog millionaire because he wanted to show how industrial revolution can change things in other countries and how life can be destroys or made worst by the industrial revolution and how dangerous it can be in India.
The target audience was the world to show how the world is changing and how some parts of the world is changing for the better while other ideas are not changing for the better. The movie was taken in very well but some of the Indians did not like the idea of the part where the boys change when they grow up on the train and how they get different accents.
You can tell from the creators of the movie that they were trying to go for the most realistic aspect of a kid from the slums of India to a millionaire in a game. They were trying to at the same time show how life is like in India through this movie for everyone to
The movie does connect to the director's other works because like his other movies they are all connected to a problem at hand and he is trying to show the most realistic fear or ideas that the society have at the present of the future.

Logline: Austin and Vincent tires to sabotage each other with every thing they do.
Austin wakes up and then he looks straight forward. On the wall there is a picture of Vincent. Then the camera goes back to Austin's face again and on his face there is a serious look on his face. Then is a wide shot it shows Austin throwing a dart at Vincents head. It then cuts to the picture and in Vincent's forehead there is a dart in it.
Vincent wakes up with a start and then he looks down at the bat in his lap. He looks up and he sees a apple with a picture of Austin on it. Vincent then gets up and walks to the apple. He then takes up the bat and put it over his head. Then with a crashing blow he bring the bat down on the apple and breaks it in a lot of little pieces.
After both Austin and Vincent started to think how they were going get each another today. For example Austin thought in his head he was in Vincents room and setting up something over the door so when he opens the door the thing will come crashing down on his head.
Vincent on the other had thought of doing something to the bathroom either sabotaging the shower with a wrench in his hand so that it will only pour out cold water. Or before he leaves he he locks the door and closes it so that Austin can not get in to use the bathroom.
Then Austin goes down stairs to find something to put over the door so that his plan can be put in motion. Austin looked at a book that was really heavy, then looked at a pail full of water and last he looked a a plant that he saw he can use. Austin decides to go with the book in the end and he took the book up stairs.
Vincent on the other had thought that he was going to lock Austin out of the bathroom. So in split screen Austin and Vincent went to their destination just so that they can set up their traps. Austin went in and opened the door to Vincent's room a crack and put the book on top of the door and the door frame just enough so when Vincent opens the door the book will come down on his head. Vincent on the other hand finished using the bathroom and then he turn around and turns the lock from the inside. He then walks out and pulling the door shut behind him.
Then Austin and Vincent pass each other and could't wait for their plans to work. As Vincent walked in to the book the book fell from the place it was set up. Out side Austin heard a thunk and knew that his plan had worked. Austin then walked to the bathroom door and tured the knob. But to his surprise the door will not open. He tried opening the door much more fericously but the door still will not open. At that moment open felt that he was lighter then before so he looked down and saw that there was a black spot on his pants. Then it cutts to his face as he says oh crap and Vincent heard that and knew his trapped worked.

When the boys gets back he was surprise that his breakfast was missing and he was annoyed that he will have to make another breakfast again really fast so that he can still get to the bus to school in time.
